Find out about the company:-
Age, number of employees, related companies, (parent,subsidary,associates),turnover,product range,status (family owned,private,public)ect
The company website is usually the best place to start, make notes so you can really digest the information
By gathering this information you will show a genuine interest in the company and their vacancy. It will make you stand out from other candidates and it asssits you with you decision regarding the suitabilty of the company position for you.
Take your information with you to the interview and let the company know about the research you have done.
Prepare questions for the interview:-
Asking questions shows you are interested in who they are and what they have to offer. Having said that, some questions can imply that you have no idea why your are there!
